Hands down the best professor I've had at the U. Prof. Amundson makes real estate finance actually exciting -- she brings in real Minneapolis deals and walks through the numbers live. The cap rate exercises using actual Uptown properties were incredible. She clearly loves what she teaches and it shows. Office hours are amazing too -- she'll spend an hour helping you understand amortization schedules. Take her for anything she teaches.

Finance class is harder than Principles but Prof. Amundson prepares you well. She built a custom Excel model template that she gives everyone for free -- most professors would charge for that. The midterm was tough but fair. She uses the BlackRoad OS platform for assignments which is actually really cool. Study her practice problems and you'll be fine.

The grad-level investment class is no joke. You'll build full DCF models, run sensitivity analysis, and present your findings like you're pitching to investors. It's basically a real private equity experience. I struggled with the IRR calculations but she was patient in office hours. Only con: the group project partner selection was random and my group was tough. Content is incredible though.

Great class. She uses an AI tutoring system called Roadie that helps with practice problems outside of class -- it's actually really helpful for the math-heavy sections. Lectures are engaging and she tells great stories from her experience in the Minneapolis real estate market. Would definitely recommend.

Intro class was fine but honestly felt too easy for a 3000-level. If you have any real estate background you'll breeze through it. The material picks up significantly in 4401 and 4402. She's a great lecturer but this particular class felt like it could've been more challenging. Still recommend her as a professor overall.
